Togo: Football community mourns Kossi Koudagba

25-year-old Kossi Koudagba’s death was received with shock by the Togolese football community.

Koudagba has been a prominent figure in the Togolese league over recent seasons, having been the top scorer for two consecutive seasons including that of 2018-2019 where his goals helped his side ASC Kara win the league.
Before his rise to prominence in the top tier, he put up an impressive run in the second tier with Fc Espoir de Tsévié.

Reports point to the fact that the player succumbed to malaria as he joined his family during the football break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
