Madagascar launched a drink in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to help curb the spread of the virus and cure infected persons.

High schools are said to have reopened in Madagascar, not because the country is totally out of the woods as far as the coronavirus pandemic is concerned but as a result of the development of an herbal remedy that is believed to prevent and cure the COVID-19. They call it Covid-Organics.

« Since its creation by Pr Ratsimamanga, IMRA has developed more than 50 products by combining traditional medicine & modern sciences.Covid-Organics, an improved traditional remedy based on artemisia & endemic plants, curative & preventive against #Covid19 , is launched! » Andry Rajoelina.

It is the Malagasy president himself, Andry Rajoelina, who is endorsing and vehemently leading the promotion for the use of Covid-Organics amid doubts expressed by the scientific community including the country’s own national medical academy. Scientists say more tests ought to be done to ascertain the safety of the drink and are treading with caution. That, however, will not deter Andry Rajoelina from rallying the rest of the continent around the traditional remedy he so much has faith in by reaching out to other African presidents. His Twitter account has been very active with sharing with the rest of the world the engagements he has been having with other presidents on the herbal cure.

«Thank you to the President of Guinea Bissau @USEmbalo of its proposal to supply his country & its neighbors in West Africa with TAMBAVY CVO / Covid-Organics. He will charter a plane to transport them from Madagascar. It is a united Africa against Covid 19»

Senegal’s Macky Sall and DR Congo’s Felix Tshisekedi too openly congratulated the young president.

Despite the traditional remedy, Madagascar is not letting their guards down. All W.H.O recommended prevention protocols such as social distancing and the wearing of masks are still strongly encouraged by the president.
