Nigerian international Victor Osimhen signs for Italian Serie A club, Napoli in a €50 million move.
It was an incredible 2019-2020 season for the 21-year old striker who led the attack of French side Lille. He found the net 18 times as he appeared during 38 games for the club.
Those impressive numbers earned him Le Prix Mark Vivien Foe 2020 award given to the best African player in Ligue 1.
Achieving such feats isn’t exactly new for Victor. He demonstrated his striking prowess when he bagged 36 goals for Belgian club Charleroi before landing in Lille.
Victor Osimhen featured a lot in transfer rumours where he was linked to many European clubs.
On Friday Napoli confirmed, the player will be wearing their colours.
Many Nigerians and Africans were excited about the news. It is believed this is a step higher in the sterling career of the promising striker.
